This symposium was organized to bring together researchers interested in diverse areas of muscle biology including skeletal, cardiac, and neuromuscular.  The goal of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the muscle community to interact, share ideas, and create connections so as to increase our overall understanding of how muscle develops and functions, and the mechanisms that contribute to its breakdown in aging and disease.
